Looking back, petals fall as we move Moving on Petals far behind, the next day’s always new, dark to dawn Please promise me that we can both see what tomorrow holds, hand in hand and by our sides For all the blurry faces that time runs past, I can see yours looking back at mine Together step by step, past the curtains we’ll still dance, forever on the scene spotlight aglow Rain can never slow us down, we’re stronger than the clouds, hope neither of us let the other go ... Places, faces come and go, it’s something that we can’t forget So much that is lost behind, so many places since we met Only so much still with us, fragments time had gambled on Take my hand and take my heart so we can keep the curtain drawn Memories can be so far, some we can reach and touch, maybe we should look back after all Just a little further now, the sun is still so new, the perfect time to go and watch the petals fall!

Didn’t mean for this to take almost two years making oops. Though it came out how I wanted it to :)) a huge thank you to Trickle for lending his incredible voice to a project of mine, Isabelle and Matt for their work too. More rad (Funkin unrelated) stuff is to come.

At first glance, Kaneko Takaya is a cheerful, friendly and patently perfect student. Being the talented and high achieving student he is, along with his charming demeanor and good looks, it’s no wonder each girl in Kiramitsu High School is head over heels over him—often affectionately referring to him as “Senpai”. However, he’s not the heartthrob he seems to be. He’ll tell any lie he can to get what he wants, even if he promises love, and he will not hesitate to discard someone after he’s done with them. He may even seek someone to lead on if he’s simply bored, before eventually breaking their heart and leaving them in the dust. And if he feels threatened by someone, he’ll try to destroy their social future in any way possible.

Even behind his manipulative and malevolent ways, Kaneko is a weak, insecure coward. Being one of the only students that knows the true colors that come with his cheerful personality, bookworm Katsura Azuma is rarely afraid to get under his suave charm whenever he’s up to no good…even if her friends Naoki Kamito and Anami Okitsu are more easily charmed by him; Naoki not being able to help but be swooned by him and Anami being the timid and easily manipulated worrywart she is, though the deadpan and mysterious Akari isn't phased by him at all. The group of outcasts find themselves getting roped into Kaneko’s slimy plans in their day to day school life, his schemes ranging from deceiving a student with his charm so he can win the festival contest with his superior appearance, to gradually gaining more control over a school club and using it to his advantage.

Kira Kira Thorns is a comedic drama that follows the four girls as they have to deal with Kaneko and face the misadventures of high school that accompany him.

Originally a manga of the same name, the series was also adapted into a dating simulator in 2000, released exclusively in Japan for the PlayStation.
